High-Quality Craftsmanship. Lasting Value.

We take pride in doing careful, detailed work. All curves, patterns, and joints are considered carefully.

We don’t rush jobs. Our experienced crew takes the time to get things right.

And, since so much of the cost in landscaping is the labour it only makes sense to use high quality materials to make all the work worthwhile, and that is exactly what we do.

Durable Patios Engineered for Winnipeg Conditions

Winnipeg’s extreme climate and clay soil can be tough on stonework. Freeze-thaw cycles, shifting ground, and moisture make it essential to build patios with the right techniques and materials.

We build with Winnipeg’s conditions in mind. That means deeper excavation, a good drainage strategy, and an interlocking brick system that can handle inevitable ground movement.

The result is a patio that stays level, stays solid, and looks good – season after season.

A patio we build will last for decades with almost no maintenance.

Patio Installation FAQs

We can give you a really good idea just by emailing us for a preliminary quote. Please don't hesitate. It's quick and easy for us to do these preliminary ballpark estimates entirely by email with no need for any appointments to see your yard. But if you aren't ready to do that, we have a patio cost guide that helps you estimate it on your own.

A patio could cost anywhere from $6 to $60 per square foot. But our guide will help you estimate it based on your choice of finish material, size and complexity of design and location of the patio.

A really short answer is: Small 8'x8' patios are usually around $4,000. Medium-sized patios are around $9,000. Very large patios can be closer to $20,000.

Considering the huge benefit and very low maintenance costs, we think of patios as one of the best enhancements to a home you can get for a similar cost.

No. One of the most common things our customers write on Google Reviews about us is that we billed what we quoted. It is amazing how surprising this is to people. Unless you decide to change the plan mid-way through the project, you will be billed exactly what we quote.

We can complete small brick patio projects in just two days in your yard: one day for site preparation and one day of construction and cleanup. A small patio project might be something like 12'x12'. A medium-sized patio, maybe 20'x15', would take 4 or 5 days of work in your yard. A large patio, around 30'x20' with intricate details, would take more like a week and a half.

To get a better idea of how long it takes, including design time and material delivery, see our timeline estimation guide for patio installation.

Let us know what your schedule is and we might be able to make it happen! We never disrupt previously booked projects with other customers, but sometimes the weather is in our favour and we end up with some additional capacity. Email us and we'll get back to you very quickly.

We have no formal guarantees, but after 27 years, we know how to schedule jobs. We know how much time things take. We aren't shocked and caught off guard when we have a rain day or two. It's not uncommon for us to be ready even earlier than planned.

Our Google Reviews consistently talk about how happy people are that we actually show up on time.

It depends on the time of year and the size of the project, but we can give you a really good idea.

Spring and early summer everyone is eager to get their yards and gardens in shape so ideally you'll reach out to us in late winter or early spring.

Mid- to late-summer tend to be good opportunities to get things done on shorter notice because the spring rush is over.

The smaller the project, the easier it is to fit into an existing schedule so it's more likely to be something that can be done on short notice.

If you email us, we can give you a very clear idea of how long you'll have to wait. We also have this longer article discussing how far in advance you should book a landscaping contractor for various services.

There really isn't much to do with patios that we build.

- Sweep off grass clippings and fallen leaves. It is a common misconception that weeds grow up through the joints between pavers, but actually weeds settle in from the top. If those weed seeds are removed along with any other organic material, they won't be able to take root.

- Inspect joint sand. With our clay soils in Winnipeg it is inevitable that patios will move with the changing of seasons. A concrete paver surface is a flexible system that can move with these changes, but occasionally you will see fine cracks develop in the sand between the pavers. You'll want to fill those cracks. We can do this for you easily. If any cracks appear within five years of installation, just send us an email and we will happily take care of it for you as a part of our guarantee.

- If your patio is multiple decades old, sometimes a few of your paver bricks end up cracked. This may be an indicator of deeper problems, but in many cases it is a simple matter of replacing the cracked bricks with new pavers. We can do this for you as a part of our brick patio repair services. It is extremely rare to see damaged pavers that are less than 20 or 30 years old.

- Sometimes even well-built patios will experience issues from ground movement in Winnipeg. Areas with disturbed soil, next to driveways or along building foundations are more likely to cause problems and sometimes require repair work within 10 years.

The company has been operating for more than 27 years now and Dwayne, the owner, had already been in the industry for 15 years before that. That's a lot of experience. Not only that, but Dwayne hasn't just been managing the company from an office. To this day he's still physically a part of the actual landscaping crew on every single job.

We have a 5-year guarantee on our patio stonework. We take the warranty very seriously and routinely do small repairs on patios we've built to honour that guarantee. You can see in some of our Google Reviews that our customers were really surprised at how we responded when they had little problems with our work. So we do stand behind our work.

Absolutely. You can contact us without really having a clue and it's part of our job to help you figure it out. In fact, you can contact us and we'll help you figure out if it even makes sense for you to have a patio in the first place. There's no pressure to proceed even after we've done a design for you. We've done so many projects and had so much feedback over the years about what works in different situations that it's pretty quick to come up with a good plan.

We can build with whatever you want, but our customers almost always choose concrete pavers and they are what we recommend in almost all cases. See our guide to choosing the best stone for landscaping surfaces.
